Terms

How we sell to you

Plain terms for a small studio. Buying from us means agreeing to these; if anything here seems unfair, tell us and we will talk about it.

Last updated 20 October 2026

Who you are buying from

Lit and Bright Candle Co., Anupgarh, Rajasthan, India. Contact: support@litandbright.com or +91 96724 38314.

Our candles

Everything is hand-poured in small batches. Colour, surface and scent strength vary slightly from one pour to the next, and the photographs show real candles rather than renders — so what arrives will look like what you saw, without being identical to it. That variation is a property of handmade goods, not a fault.

Weights and burn times, where stated, are approximate and depend on how the candle is burned.

Placing an order

Adding to the cart and paying is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we confirm the order — usually on WhatsApp. If we cannot fulfil something, we will say so and refund you in full.

Candles are poured after the order arrives, not taken off a shelf. We confirm the dispatch date with you when we confirm the order.

Prices and payment

  • All prices are in Indian Rupees.
  • Delivery is free on orders over ₹1,499. Below that, paying online adds a flat ₹99 per order.
  • On cash on delivery the charge depends on the distance and the order, so we agree it with you on WhatsApp before anything is dispatched. You will never be charged a delivery fee you have not been told about.
  • Online payments are taken by Cashfree. We never see or store your card details.
  • We may correct an obvious pricing error before dispatch. If we do, you may cancel for a full refund.

Delivery

We deliver across India through third-party couriers. Timings we give are estimates, not guarantees — once a parcel is with the courier its progress is not ours to control.

Please give an address where someone can receive the parcel. If it is returned to us because nobody could take delivery or the address was wrong, we will re-send it once the return reaches us and the new delivery cost is settled.

Cancellations and returns

All sales are final. Every candle is poured once your order reaches us, so from the moment payment is made the wax, the scent and the work are committed to you. We do not return money on a completed order.

Change of mind. We do not accept returns because a fragrance was not to your taste. Scent is personal and nothing here is taken off a shelf. If you are unsure which to choose, ask us before you order — we would far rather advise you than disappoint you, and we are happy to talk through the whole range on WhatsApp.

If it arrives damaged or wrong. Send us a photograph within 48 hours of delivery and we will send a replacement at our own cost. You do not need to post the damaged one back to us. This is the one thing we will always put right, and we will not argue about it.

Cancelling. An order cannot be cancelled once payment has been made. Cash on delivery orders can be cancelled any time before dispatch, at no cost, by messaging us.

Burning candles safely

This part matters more than the rest of this page. A candle is an open flame.

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep it away from children, pets, curtains, paper and anything else that can catch.
  • Burn on a heat-resistant, level surface.
  • Trim the wick to about 5mm before each burn, and do not burn for more than four hours at a time.
  • Stop when about 10mm of wax is left.
  • Diyas and tea lights get hot — set them in or on something that can take the heat.

Fragrance can affect people differently. If you are pregnant, asthmatic, or share your home with pets or birds, ventilate the room, and write to us if you would like to talk through which scents to avoid. Used as described above, our candles are safe; used otherwise, we cannot be responsible for the outcome.

Your account

Keep the Google account you sign in with secure, since whoever can open it can see your order history. Tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. We may close an account that is used to abuse the shop or its staff.

Our words and pictures

The photographs, illustrations, product names and writing on this site belong to us. Please do not reuse them commercially without asking. Ask, and we will usually say yes.

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for the candles being as described and of reasonable quality, and for getting them to you. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by a candle being burned other than as described above, nor for delays outside our control such as courier disruption, weather or strikes.

Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other law that cannot be set aside by agreement.

If something goes wrong

Tell us first — most things are sorted out in a single message. Raise a support ticket and it reaches us with your order details attached, or write to support@litandbright.com.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to them, or to anything bought from us, is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Anupgarh, Rajasthan, India, 335701, and no other court or forum.

One exception, because the law says so rather than because we choose it: if you are a consumer, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 lets you bring a complaint to the consumer commission where you live or work. Nothing above takes that right away from you.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and the terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it.
